Martin Burlas
Born 1955 in Bratislava. During his secondary school studies Martin Burlas took private piano lessons from Mária Masariková and composition lessons from Juraj Hatrík. From 1975 to 1980 he studied composition with Ján Cikker at the Academy of Music and Drama in Bratislava. From 1980 to 1986 Burlas worked as music director of the Opus Publishing House, and in 1986 he founded the Matthews ensemble, which was later renamed “Matkovia.” From 1987 to 1994 he worked as music director at Slovak Radio in Bratislava and was active in Veni Ensemble and the Sleepy Motion and Vitebsk Broken (with Peter Machajdik) ensembles. From 1986 to 1999 worked at Sonicca. In 1999 Burlas co-founded, along with Ľubomír Burgr, Zuzana Piussi and Daniel Salontay, the band Dogma. Since January 2000 he has been employed at the Music Centre in Bratislava and along with Burgr is co-founder of the Association for Contemporary Opera.
Member of VAPORI del CUORE and OVER4Tea projects.

Jan Boleslav Kladivo
(b. 1964) is an experimental music composer, videoartist, singer-songwriter and poet from Slovakia. After graduation at Technical University in Bratislava he had worked in the Experimental Studio of Slovak Radio.
Founding member of the OVER4Tea audiovosual project together with Martin Burlas and Daniel Matej (2004). Since 2006 he also collaborates with Julo Fujak in the project Fluff Modulation.

– founded his way of expression inspired by Zappa´s contrast of trivial pop music´s quotation and bizarre words, his baffling songs were broadcasted in independent Radio Ragtime in 1991-1992. They connected non-purposeful musical banality and unobtrusive existential poetry, which as Kladivo says: “will force you to stop dancing”;
– vintage sound engineer, have been working for several years in Experimental studio of Slovak Radio;
– since 2003 he is occupied intensively by creation of experimental computer, electro-acoustic music as well as by composing of written acoustic pieces in interaction with video art. Both sides of Kladivo (songs and “abstract” experimental music) are not in oppositions but in complementary relationships.
