Búrlivý rozvoj nových technológií prináša so sebou nové interpretácie videnia sveta. Jednou z prvých lastovičiek, ktoré si tieto nové technológie osvojili, je i experimentálna elektroakustická hudba, ktorá čerpá z fúzie prirodzeného a elektronického zvuku zároveň. Tento hudobný žáner má u nás dlhoročnú tradíciu (viac ako 50. rokov). Dnes ho považujeme za jeden z najkomplexnejších spôsobov hudobného vyjadrovania.
V 2018 roku si pripomíname 50-ročný odkaz našich otcov – priekopníkov tejto novej tvorby u nás. Odkaz Smolenických seminárov, ktoré ukázali, že patríme do súčasného kultúrneho sveta. Smolenické semináre rozrušili hranice kultúrnych bariér medzi západom a nami. Ukázali skutočný umelecký potenciál našich tvorcov. Experimental Studio Bratislava, uznávané centrum výroby a šírenia experimentálnej tvorby so svojou tradíciou reprezentuje tento segment kultúry doma i v zahraničí. Boli sme vtedy pri Smolenických seminároch a sme tu aj dnes, aby sme si ich pripomenuli.
